What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Nurse to support the health and wellbeing of our students. This is a full-time, weekday role—no shifts or nights.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A recognised academic and professional nursing qualification from a tertiary institution.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar nursing role.
- Passion for working with children, combined with compassion and patience.
- Strong planning, organisational and administrative abilities.
- A calm and confident approach to problem-solving in emergencies.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, staff, and parents.
- Ability to deliver presentations and staff training sessions.
- Proficient computer skills.
- A clear criminal record.
The responsibilities are:
- Prevent the spread of infectious diseases across the school.
- Provide on-site assessment and care for sick or injured children.
- Communicate health concerns effectively with parents and healthcare providers.
- Track and manage medical records and physical development for each child.
- Deliver health training to staff (e.g. hygiene practices, handwashing, etc.).
- Monitor school facilities for health and cleanliness.
- Promote health education with a focus on preventative care.
- Maintain clear and organised health documentation.
