A leading and renowned FMCG company based in Polokwane is looking for a high performing Operations Manager to join their vibrant young team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2- 3 years’ experience within a similar role.
You will be responsible for:
Manage the branch warehouse and distribution function
Maintain Food Safety standards and Audits
Manage maintenance of distribution fleet
Ensure a smooth process of daily delivery requirements of customer orders
Manage stock control and inventory function
Enforce safety and housekeeping programme on an ongoing basis
Leverage reporting in order to control branch logistical functions
Take charge of the department’s human capital issues including engaging with trade union(s)
Ensure safe working practises in line with OHS Policy (16.2)
Qualifications:
Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
Diploma / Certificate (Logistics / Warehousing / Supply Chain Management) will be adv.
FMCG (Food) experience a must
At least 2 - 3 years’ experience within an operations, logistics or distribution in an environment similar
Competence in financial management – knowledge of budgeting
At least 3 years’ experience in people management
Understanding of the supply chain from buying, selling to distribution
Technical knowledge of the day to day running of a refrigeration plant would be beneficial
Working knowledge of: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Must be able to work night shift when required
Basic salary on offer plus benefits (medical aid, retirement fund).

Display understanding of how the business operates.
Capacity to manage people dynamics.
Ability to coach employees to work more efficiently.
