Purpose of the Job
Senwes Equipment is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Parts Manager to lead the spares department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stock levels, promoting customer relationships, overseeing parts administration, and driving sustainable financial results. This role plays a critical part in supporting aftersales service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage Stock
Ensure availability of stock and on-time delivery of non-stock items
Conduct seasonal planning and adjust sales forecasts
Optimize stock turnover and manage fast/slow-moving parts
Monitor and maintain parts availability for new equipment
Stay informed of market trends and development
Manage quarterly stocktaking processes
Promote Customer Relationships
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Participate in farmer days, demos, and agricultural shows
Provide product and technical feedback to customers
Conduct seasonal marketing and support agent brand campaigns
Control and Monitor Parts Administration
Manage purchasing and pricing processes
Investigate variances and report on departmental activities
Oversee parts department administration and reporting to the Branch Manager
Staff Management and Development
Lead the parts team in line with labour and health & safety legislation
Provide performance feedback, training, and development support
Identify staff potential and support growth
Budget and Financial Management
Manage the departmental budget
Monitor income, margins, and expenses
Implement corrective actions to ensure profitability
National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a spares/parts environment
Candidates with management experience will receive preference
Technical knowledge of agricultural equipment and machinery
Strong interpersonal, planning, negotiation, and analytical skills
Computer literacy and sound communication abilities
Assertiveness and sound judgment
Attention to detail
Customer-centric with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
