About the Company:
We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable and leading automotive brand with a strong presence in the commercial vehicle sector. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Parts Manager to join their Cape Town team. If you have a strong background in parts operations, inventory management, and team leadership within the motor industry, this could be your next exciting move.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall operations of the parts department.
- Lead a team of parts salespeople, clerks, and warehouse staff.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure efficient stock control.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
- Ensure the timely ordering, receiving, and issuing of parts.
- Implement strategies to improve parts sales and profitability.
- Oversee the accurate pricing, invoicing, and documentation of parts transactions.
- Monitor KPIs and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, OEM standards, and company policies.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Parts Manager or senior role within the automotive/commercial vehicle sector.
- Strong knowledge of parts systems and inventory management.
- Experience working with OEM parts and systems (e.g. Mercedes-Benz, Isuzu, MAN, Hino, or similar).
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Matric is essential; relevant tertiary qualification or technical training is an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office and Dealer Management Systems (e.g. Automate, Kerridge/CDK, Evolve).
