Job Description
The Fraud Risk Management (FRM) Technology, Data and Analytics team provides Fraud technology support as well as data and analytics insights for the business.
The FRM Technology, Data Analytics Graduate Programme is designed to cultivate analytical thinkers who can translate data into strategic insights that enhance customer experiences and assist the different FRM areas with critical information related to fraud. Graduates will learn to extract value from complex datasets, apply statistical, and develop visualizations and reports that support data-driven decision-making.
A key component of the program is fostering collaboration and cross-functional problem-solving. Graduates will work closely with the different FRM area streams to assist in data analytics, insights and reporting that will better assist in fraud detection and prevention.
Data extraction and Data Validation / Information Gathering
Interface with multiple business users across the organization to gather and understand analytics / reporting requirements
Translates data in a way that meets functional area specifications.
Understands the data, systems and architecture of front-end applications and back-end data.
Pulls the data from the relevant data source/s (e.g., enterprise information warehouse (EIW)) using SQL/SAS/SSIS or any of the existing extraction tools
Test planning and execution
Performs data validation to ensure that data is correct and meets functional area data specifications.
Ensures the timeous delivery of accurate data extraction.
Validates the quality of the data, raises incidents, where necessary and works with data stewards to continuously improve on the quality of data.
Reporting
Creation and maintenance of reports as required for performance and financial reporting daily / weekly / Monthly to Operations
Manages the consolidation of all relevant measurement (business, process and performance), MIS and standardised reporting for functional area
Provide continues improvement reporting and analytics
Generate both periodic and ad hoc reports as needed.
Analyse business information to identify process improvements for increasing business efficiency and effectiveness.
Update and maintain agent database
Identify and drive the translation of Ad hoc reports to automatic dashboard-based reports
Provides trend analytics pro-actively, and on stakeholder request
Puts plans in place to automate all standardised reporting functions.
Business Continuity
Ensure all reports are documented with the process and procedure for handover purposes.
Stakeholder Engagement
Understand customer requirements and provide appropriate technical solutions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients and recommend innovative solutions to business problems.
Work within cross-functional teams to resolve reporting requirements and recurring customer issues
Provide customer support and assistance with reporting enquiries/issue troubleshooting and resolution.
