To coordinate, design, and present relevant business unit induction/onboarding, including Phlebotomy procedures and processes to relevant phlebotomy employees. Provide continuous refresher training to phlebotomy employees to ensure desired quality standards and competency levels are maintained across the business unit.Requirements:
Relevant HPCSA/SANC registration (Required), Relevant Phlebotomy or Nursing qualification (Required), Train-the-Trainer and Assessor certifications. If not already completed, successful certification completion will be mandatory upon appointment. (Required)Required Experience:
4 or more years of Phlebotomy experience within a Pathology environment, Active listening skills to listen, understand and respond suitably, Advanced understanding of phlebotomy procedures, Knowledge of MS Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)., Knowledge of OSH act, Knowledge of the Meditech System, Knowledge of the relevant scope of practice, Knowledge of various teaching methods, techniques, and approaches, Sound business acumen to understand the key internal and external factors impacting the success of the Care Centre including delivering an exceptional customer experience and maintaining a high quality reputation., Sound organisational skills to schedule and coordinate training, content, venues, etc., Strong communication skills to read, write, and speak fluently in English and communicate with clarity, precision, and influence., Strong computer skills to use computer technology effectively., Strong facilitation skills to effectively engage, manage, and direct people and teams, Strong presentation skills to confidently deliver content and explain concepts to a group of people that achieves the objective.Key Responsibilities:
Assess assessment evidence in order to make judgements regarding employee competence., Conduct training needs analysis and design programs and training material to address Phlebotomy-related skill gaps., Coordinate, and present business unit induction/onboarding for new Phlebotomy employees (and existing employees, if required) to provide them with insight into the overall functioning of Ampath., Design training material and present Phlebotomy training programs to ensure that sufficient competency levels and quality standards are maintained across the business unit., Maintain good client relations and promote the image of Ampath., Manage, coordinate, and present training as specified by the Regional Managing Pathologist based on the business unit’s needs (which may include LIS training, and Customer Care) to relevant employees as required., Participate in annual peer reviews in collaboration with the Phlebotomy Training department to ensure ongoing professional competence., Perform general training-related administration tasks to ensure effective recording and storage of relevant training information.Applicants must have a South African ID or a valid South African work permit.
