The Principal Business Process Analyst is a highly skilled subject matter expert, responsible for optimizing and transforming company business processes to drive efficiency, innovation, and excellence.
This role involves collaborating with cross functional teams, leveraging technology, and implementing best practices to streamline workflows, enhance customer experience, and achieve business objectives.
The Principal Business Process Analyst encourages and drives innovative thinking in the business process space to identify new ways of improving processes and delivering value.
Key responsibilities:
- Performs business process development and improvement initiatives aligned with company goals and industry best practices.
- Develops initiatives to streamline processes and enhance cross-functional collaboration.
- Contributes towards the development and executes a strategic roadmap for process optimization and transformation aligned with the company goals and objectives.
- Leads efforts to improve operational efficiency, eliminate waste, and enhance the quality of services through the adoption of best practices such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Analyzes existing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborates with IT teams to leverage technology solutions such as automation, AI, and data analytics to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Works closely with cross functional teams to understand their unique processes, challenges, and requirements.
- Drives the implementation of process changes, ensuring effective change management strategies are in place to minimize resistance and maximize adoption.
- Contributes toward defining and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of process optimization initiatives.
- Ensures processes are aligned with customer needs and expectations, leading to improved customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Identifies potential risks associated with process development and / or changes and mitigation strategies to ensure smooth transitions.
- Provides regular updates to executive/senior leadership on process optimization initiatives, outcomes, and future plans.
- Performs any other related task as required.
To thrive in this role, you need to have:
- Extended analytical skills with the ability to dissect complex business processes, identify patterns, and propose improvements.
- Business process technology product knowledge.
- Extended knowledge on processes and up and downstream impact of process steps.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify process bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Excellent project management expertise, including project planning, execution, and stakeholder management.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with senior leadership/management, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders.
- Extended proficiency in process mapping, documentation, and workflow design.
- Extended knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Business Process Reengineering.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to finding solutions.
Academic qualifications and certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business or related field.
- Project Management certification preferred.
- Six Sigma or Lean or equivalent type certification preferred.
Required experience:
- Extended experience in business process improvement, process reengineering, or related roles within the IT services industry.
- Extended experience in constructing business process methodology toolbox.
- Extended experience in project management methods such as Scrum or Waterfall.
- Extended work experience combined with functional knowledge of workstreams.
