Overview
We are looking for a driven and experienced Production Manager to lead our fertilizer manufacturing operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality production across multiple sites. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in production management, preferably in fertilizer or chemical manufacturing.
- Strong leadership, planning, and analytical skills.
- Proven experience in contractor and multi-site management.
- Solid understanding of procurement, stock control, and compliance frameworks
Duties
Production & Planning
- Lead production planning and raw material forecasting.
- Monitor usage variance and ensure consistent product quality.
- Drive continuous improvement in production efficiency and output.
Procurement & Maintenance
- Manage procurement of packaging materials and coordinate repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure cost-effective sourcing and equipment reliability.
Contractor & Site Management
- Oversee contractor performance and compliance.
- Supervise smaller satellite sites to ensure alignment with central operations.
Stock & Expense Management
- Maintain optimal stock levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Manage operational expenses and contribute to cost control initiatives.
People Leadership
- Lead and develop production teams, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
- Ensure effective workforce planning, training, and performance management.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure full compliance with safety, legal, and environmental regulations.
- Promote a zero-harm culture and uphold all company safety standards.
