Professional Nurse

We seek to appoint a Professional Nurse, motivated and passionate to assist with the effective implementation of the Community Home-Based Health Care Program in Vredenburg and Paternoster.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• The effective management and execution of relevant Curative Programmes within the scope of practice and to be and advocate for the patient to ensure the provision of necessary health care.
• The effective management and execution of relevant Child Health within the scope of practice and to be and advocate for the patient to ensure the provision of necessary health care.
• The effective management and execution of relevant Women's Health Services within the scope of practice and to be an advocate for the patient to ensure the provision of necessary health care.
• The effective management and execution of relevant HAST programmes within the scope of practice and to be an advocate for the patient to ensure the provision of necessary health care.
• Assessing the performance of and effectiveness of programs, projects, and policies.
• Compiling Monthly Reports
• Providing leadership to a team of 22 Community Health Care Workers and 5 Lay Counsellors
• Breaking down the project into smaller, manageable tasks allows for better organization and resource allocation. This structured approach helps in estimating timelines, costs, and resources requirements.

Education, Experience and competencies required:

• Registration with SANC
• Nursing Qualification
• Knowledge of Primary Health Care
• Good communicating and networking skills
• Good people skills
• Good leadership skills and ability to manage a team
• Good collaboration in multi-disciplinary team
• Computer Literate
• Driver's License
• Afrikaans and English is a requirement; isiXhosa would be an advantage.
