Key Responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of multiple projects.
- Execute and manage end-to-end project delivery, from tendering and design through to commissioning and post-installation support
- Develop and implement project quality plans, ensuring compliance with contractual and ISO 9001:2015 requirements
- Collaborate with engineering disciplines to ensure timely delivery of project outputs that meet all technical, budgetary, and scheduling requirements
- Oversee procurement processes, including preparing supplier enquiry documents, adjudicating proposals, and managing purchase orders and approvals
- Maintain project schedules and ensure timely delivery by monitoring supplier and subcontractor timelines.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, legal requirements, and organizational workflows
- Manage financial aspects of projects, including project cost reporting, cash flow monitoring, and controlling variances through proactive corrective action
- Identify, assess, and escalate project risks while implementing appropriate mitigation strategies
- Build and nurture client relationships, serving as a key point of contact and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure non-conformities are managed effectively and that root causes are identified and addressed to prevent recurrence
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that project execution methodologies align with organisational knowledge and industry best practices
Qualifications
- A BSc/BTech in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering, or equivalent
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in project management within the water and/or mining industry
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 with the ability to apply risk-based thinking and a process-oriented approach
- Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, timelines, and technical deliverables effectively
- Experience in handling commercial, contractual, and legal project aspects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work across teams and with external stakeholders
