As the QHSE Manager at Hitachi Rail South Africa, you will lead the charge in aligning our Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental systems with both South African regulations and international ISO standards, while integrating seamlessly into Hitachi’s global HSE community.
🚀 What your responsibilities will be?
Develop and enforce HSE and Security strategies, policies, and procedures.
Oversee internal and external audits; ensure legal and ISO compliance.
Lead Quality Management Systems and certifications (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
Manage HSE performance reporting, audits, and incident tracking via KPIs.
Guide procurement strategy with alignment to BBBEE and Hitachi policies.
Coordinate stakeholder engagement and cross-functional HSE integration.
🧠 Who are you?
Degree in a relevant field; MBA preferred.
Accredited by recognized HSE professional bodies.
5+ years in QHSE and Procurement leadership roles.
Advanced MS Office and project management proficiency.
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
Proven stakeholder and risk management track record.
