Introduction
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented QMS Internal Auditor to champion quality and compliance across our operations. Based at our Mount Edgecombe site, this role is crucial in maintaining and improving our Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, and other relevant standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and execute internal audits as per the annual audit schedule
- Ensure process compliance with ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 standards
- Identify risks, report non-conformances, and verify follow-up actions
- Evaluate QMS effectiveness and propose continuous improvement actions
- Compile and present audit reports to management
- Support departments with corrective action plans and follow-through
- Prepare for and assist during external certification audits
- Stay up to date on changes in quality standards and regulations
- Train and guide staff on quality and audit processes
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management or Internal Auditing, or a related field.
- Certified Internal Auditor (e.g., ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor certification).
- Minimum 5 years of experience conducting QMS audits.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple audits simultaneously.
- Code 8 manual driving licence
