Minimum Requirements & Assessment Criteria
· Grade 12 Certificate (Essential)
· Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in mining and industrial operations
· N6 / Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or Control & Instrumentation (C&I)
· Trade Test (Electrical)
· Additional certification in Instrumentation (Advantageous)
· Advanced proficiency in Excel (Advantageous)
· Valid Driver’s License
· Experience, Skills & Knowledge
· Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate expertise in the following areas:
· Conduct visual inspections and dimensional tests
· Verify ratings, materials, and connections
· Review and assess Quality Control Plans (QCPs) according to IEC & SANS 10142 standards
· Evaluate electrical designs to ensure compliance with QC standards
· Perform on-site inspections during project implementation
· Manage and review data-books and inspection records
· Ensure correct documentation, personnel qualifications, and calibration of measurement tools
· Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards through internal and supplier audits
· Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and other technical assessments
· Perform routing inspections, terminations, joint testing, and control cable loop tests
· Inspect motors, UPS systems, and VSDs
· Oversee the commissioning process, including pre-punch, final punch, and C1 punch procedures
· Review P&ID and schematic drawings
Key Responsibilities (KPIs)
· Conduct inspections in alignment with project designs
· Monitor construction activities and ensure regulatory compliance
· Validate the use of correct materials and testing procedures
· Oversee factory inspections to ensure product alignment with designs
· Review documentation, including QCPs, data books, and technical drawings
· Establish and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) protocols
