Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Data processing and administrative duties to ensure the accurate, efficient and timely completion of sample information and result inputs.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for prompt and accurate data capturing and processing of all required sample information on coversheets/SLIM.
- Attend to all aspects of operational matters related to updating work in progress and new instructions received from clients / operations manager / administrator
- Informing all concerned parties of any changes or specifics influencing financial or operational activities.
- Assist in compiling of spreadsheet of results, updating daily and reporting to direct supervisor.
- Assist senior management with operational requirements
- Ensure correct sample information allocations.
- Report any complaints / compliment
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures
- Ensure adherence to company Code of Ethics
- Ensure adherence to Quality Management System (ie: document control, system procedures, written instructions, maintenance, sample information, reports and registers, etc)
- Committed to continuous improvement
- Adhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS Management System
- Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by direct line manager or HOD Admin
Specific Authorities
- Cease the use of any equipment that may be deemed to constitute a safety hazard or entry to hazardous environments without the necessary knowledge and protection, and take action to address the hazard.
- Cease to carry on with work that may affect the quality (integrity) of services and take action to address the issue.
- Initiate a formal improvement request when a deviation of the system occurs, possible improvements are identified or when nonconformity is identified.
Qualifications
Education
- Grade 12
- Languages: Proficiency in English and Afrikaans (Read, Speak, write)
- Computer Literacy in Word and Excel.
Experience
- 1 years administration experience

- Attention to detail
- To operate with minimal supervision
- Good interpersonal skills towards colleagues, clients & suppliers
