Position Overview:
Location: Our retail store is conveniently located at shop 231 inside of the Somerset Mall in Somerset West, Western Cape.
Objective: To enhance sales performance, manage product merchandising effectively, and deliver outstanding customer service, contributing to the overall growth and success of our retail operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives to boost revenue.
- Oversee product merchandising, pricing, promotional activities, and inventory management.
- Offer superior customer service by addressing queries, solving problems, and providing exceptional advise. All in the pursuit of customer satisfaction.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to guarantee a cohesive customer journey.
- Stay abreast of retail trends and best practices to identify growth opportunities and foster innovation.
- Take part in the annual stock take.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment always.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 year of retail sales experience, with a successful track record of meeting sales objectives.
- Experience in any of the key categories that we specialise in.
- Background in a physical retail setting.
- Matric certificate required/tertiary degree advantageous.
- Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- A keen interest in all things outdoors - from camping to hunting.

This position requires full-time commitment, with hours spanning Monday to Saturday (9:00 AM to 7:00 PM), Sundays and public holidays (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM). Starting salary will be between R8,000.00 and R10,000 per month depending on experience, with the potential for additional earnings through uncapped commission.
Location Requirements: Candidates must be able to commute to Somerset West reliably, or be willing to relocate before commencement of their contract.
