Shop Assistant – Victory Lab (Mamelodi Square, Pretoria)

Are you passionate about fashion, trends, and exceptional customer service? Victory Lab, our edgy and street-style inspired sister company based in Mamelodi Square, Pretoria, is looking for a vibrant and motivated Shop Assistant to join the team.
Role Overview
As a Customer Care Assistant, you will be the face of Victory Lab – ensuring every customer who walks through our doors experiences warm, efficient, and memorable service. You’ll help maintain a dynamic and stylish environment, upholding our vision to inspire and elevate street fashion.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Care
- Welcome each customer with a smile and positive attitude.
- Provide a helpful, friendly, and professional service at all times.
- Ensure the store maintains an inspiring and customer-friendly atmosphere.
- Handle customer queries and concerns effectively.
Merchandising
- Unpack, display, and present new stock with flair.
- Work with the Store Manager/Sales Team Leader to ensure pricing and promotional displays are accurate and eye-catching.
- Keep mannequins stylishly dressed and key areas (main tables, shelves, etc.) well-stocked.
- Maintain garment tidiness – flat packed and hanging items must be neat, sized, and well-presented.
Administrative Duties & Store Upkeep
- Assist in store admin tasks and follow through on markdowns, promotions, and merchandising instructions.
- Be alert to reduce stock losses and contribute to loss prevention.
- Participate in daily morning meetings and follow through with assigned tasks.
- Maintain general housekeeping – clean floors, mirrors, windows, and changerooms, ensuring a spotless and inviting space.
✅ Requirements & Competencies
- Grade 12
- Strong focus on customer care
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to take instruction and work within a team
- Attention to detail and ability to stay calm under pressure
- Retail (clothing) experience advantageous
- Confidence to handle difficult customers professionally

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: R28,79 - R28,80 per month
