Overview
TEN Lifestyle Group became a public company (AIM listed) in the UK in November 2017. The company’s revenues have been growing at c.24% CAGR with global expansion pre-pandemic. As the pandemic eases we are returning to double digit revenue growth and are looking to carve out a role in the Shared Service Center in Cape Town to support the growth in new clients and associated revenue accounting.
We have recently gone through a systems and processes transformation to digitalise Finance. We strive to be make it “fit for the future” and in turn, develop “best in class” processes, systems, and controls that we can leverage.
Key Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the end-to-end record to receipt of all revenue transactions from our Corporate Clients. You will work with stakeholders within the financial department and account management across all regions.
- Understand the end-to-end process of record to receipt for Corporate Revenue across all Ten companies
- Understand the pricing and billing structures of all Corporate contracts, and the variables.
- Prepare the monthly Billing (balance sheet), Revenue (P&L), FX and VAT (Value Add Tax) accounting on a timely basis as part of the month end timetable
- Liaise with external accountants where the accounting is outsourced
- Weekly monitoring Corporate Accounts Receivable for overdue debts with respective teams
- Weekly updates of the operational cashflow for Corporate Revenue receipts
- Prepare monthly P&L client reconciliations and Balance sheet reconciliations for Corporate Accounts Receivable, Accrued Revenue and Deferred Revenue, highlighting any risks or opportunities.
- To build respect and trust across the business, through interaction with the Global Account Management and Business Development teams.
- Develop, document, and maintain processes across departments to achieve the above objectives
- Assist with intercompany billing pass-throughs where cash is collected by other Ten Companies.
- Assist with the auditors on a timely basis
- Produce and maintain a Group Revenue reporting manual
- Support queries from around the Group
- Other miscellaneous tasks within the Shared Service Center
Requirements
- Qualification - ACCA / ACA / Finance & Accounting
- At least 2 years experience in Revenue, Accrued Revenue, Deferred Income and Accounts Receivable
- Good understanding of financial accounting, systems, processes, and controls (Accounting qualification preferable or knowledge built through experience)
- Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI (not mandatory)
- Experience with the accounting system Microsoft Business Central (not mandatory)
- Experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems such as Salesforce (not mandatory)
- Demonstration of strong inter-personal and communication skills, across departments
- The desire and willingness to investigate and challenge information and action where appropriate
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
Location
- We are ideally seeking exceptional candidates to be based in Cape Town who are able to commute to the office at least 2 days a week.
