Your role and responsibilities
Takes ownership of assigned customer accounts: reach out to assigned customers and follow up to discuss the TVH product portfolio and customer needs, in order to develop and increase the customer's potential and generate revenue.
Proactively reach out to other team members (internally and externally) to share customer and sales insights and opportunities, providing input to refine account plans for sales colleagues.
Proactively reach out to, follow up with, and develop customers targeted by specific insights (e.g., "propensity to buy" or "propensity to grow" signals, "offers without orders" priorities, etc.) or campaigns to generate sales opportunities.
Handle all aspects of customer onboarding by interacting with the new customer (via telephone, email, etc.) for their first TVH order — from both incoming leads and prospected customers — to ensure a successful onboarding experience.
Guide, inform, educate, support, and advise customers on how to use the eCommerce platform, enabling them to use the platform effectively and autonomously.
Develop own capabilities and technical understanding of relevant product and market insights, commercial / sales development procedures by participating in formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an deep understanding of relevant technology, processes and best practices.
Periodically attend fairs and events to discuss the TVH product portfolio and customer needs, aiming to develop and increase the customer potential from fairs and events.
Receive, assess, respond to, and follow up on multi-channel client requests, straightforward complaints, signals, and/or interests and offers without orders for a selection of customers in TVH products/services. Register and administrate client information, requests, complaints, and/or signals in the relevant systems, all to provide timely, adequate customer support and service, contributing to customer retention and satisfaction.
Identify and report bottlenecks within assigned processes, and propose potential improvements in sales development and performance of sales projects for specific market segments and products, to contribute to the improvement of sales development and customer service.
Maintain the prospect database and identify potential new customers through dealer mapping, web searches, industry insights, fairs, etc. Prepare and conduct sales-driven dialogues based on available insights; reach out to prospective companies to introduce TVH, understand their business, gauge potential, and initiate relationships
How to succeed / Your profile
Matric or B.Commerce degree would be advantageous
Minimum 5 years sales experience
Knowledge of product development in Material Handling, Agricultural and Earthmoving parts
Valid drivers license
Basic knowledge of lead generations, sales functions
Would need to be able to travel twice per year
