Innovata Pharmaceuticals, which is part of the Avacare Health group is looking for an experienced Sales Representative to join our team. This position is based in the Free State.

Purpose of the job:
Plays a crucial role by promoting and marketing the company’s products to healthcare professionals. Responsible for building relationships with doctors, pharmacists, and healthcare institutions to increase product awareness and sales. This involves conducting presentations, attending conferences, and staying updated on industry developments.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Operations:
- Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
- Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
- Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
- Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
- Works cooperatively with the respective teams to expedite service delivery & ensure appropriate billing for services.
- Recommend changes in products, service and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks & participating in professional societies.
- Communicate new products and service opportunities, special developments, information or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
- Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
- Services existing accounts, obtain orders and establishes new accounts by planning and organising daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
- Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
- Reach potential customers through cold calling.
Customer Service:
- To effectively manage customer expectation and be resolution driven and customer focused when resolving queries and client complaints.
- Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
- Answering client questions about credit terms, products, prices, and availability.
- Resolve & expedite customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, making recommendations to management.
Market / Customer Analysis:
- Manage accounts services through quality checks and other follow ups.
- Perform cost benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.
- Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor.
- Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery, schedules, merchandising techniques.
Reports & Administration:
- Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
- Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
- Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
- Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.
- Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up and adherence to goals.
- Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock.
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports such as daily call reports, weekly work plans and monthly and annual territory analysis.
- Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
Desired skills, experience and qualifications:
- Grade 12, Relevant bachelor’s degree/diploma
- Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in sales and marketing
