ROLE OVERVIEW
We're seeking a senior AI Video Specialist to lead our AI video generation capabilities across the studio. The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming client briefs into compelling AI-generated video content, streamlining our production pipeline, and establishing best practices for AI video generation across diverse industry sectors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
AI Video Generation Leadership
Lead AI video generation across all studio projects, from concept to final delivery
- Develop and execute sophisticated prompting strategies for platforms including Veo 3, Runway, and emerging AI video tools
- Manage AI-driven content production whilst maintaining quality standards
- Create scalable workflows for AI video generation that integrate seamlessly with existing production pipelines
Content Strategy & Production
- Handle diverse content requirements from social media assets to commercial productions
- Collaborate with creative teams to translate traditional video briefs into AI-optimised production approaches
- Develop content repurposing strategies that maximise output efficiency across multiple platforms and formats
Maintain quality consistency across varying project scales and complexity levels
Technical Excellence & Innovation
Stay current with rapidly evolving AI video generation technologies and platforms
- Establish technical standards and best practices for AI video production
- Troubleshoot technical challenges and optimise generation workflows
- Collaborate with post-production teams to enhance AI-generated content where required
Client & Team Collaboration
- Work closely with account management to understand client requirements and translate them into AI video solutions
- Educate internal teams on AI video capabilities and limitations
- Present AI video concepts and outputs to clients with clear, conversational explanations
- Support business development activities by demonstrating AI video capabilities to prospective clients
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Technical Expertise
3+ years of experience in AI video generation and prompting across multiple platforms
- Advanced proficiency in Veo 3, Runway, and other leading AI video generation tools
- Deep understanding of prompt engineering principles and optimisation techniques
- Solid grasp of video production fundamentals including composition, lighting, and storytelling
AI Ethics & Responsible Use
- Awareness of ethical considerations in AI-generated content, including copyright and responsible use.
- Commitment to aligning AI practices with global standards for ethical content creation.
Creative & Communication Skills
Exceptional creative vision with ability to conceptualise and execute diverse video content
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex AI concepts in simple, human terms
- Collaborative mindset with experience working within multidisciplinary creative teams
- Portfolio demonstrating range and quality of AI-generated video content
Industry Knowledge
- Understanding of advertising industry requirements across Retail, CPG, Financial Services, Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Fashion, and Automotive sectors
- Awareness of South African market and cultural nuances
- Knowledge of production timelines and budget considerations
- Familiarity with content repurposing strategies across digital platforms
