Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our CIB Client Onboarding Operations Team. As an Analyst in Client Static, you will be responsible for the accurate creation, maintenance, and amendment of client static data across master and sub-systems. This role is critical to ensuring data integrity, operational efficiency, and compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Workflow Management, Quality Control & Client Services
- Monitor workflow queues and action requests from internal stakeholders.
- Ensure 100% quality assurance and escalate discrepancies.
- Perform regular workflow checks and escalate deviations.
- Adhere to SLAs and turnaround times; escalate deviations and suggest enhancements.
Data Validation, Uploading & Amendments
- Validate requests against primary systems and ensure authorization from mandated officials.
- Investigate, execute, and finalize requests per procedural and product manuals.
- Act as a subject matter expert and maintain up-to-date manuals.
- Implement changes across relevant systems and ensure four-eye checks.
- Communicate professionally with requestors and update workflow tools accordingly.
- Archive completed requests and feedback in master system repositories.
Data Cleaning & Checking
- Manage bulk data creation/amendments for projects or audits.
- Communicate timelines and progress to requestors.
- Review corporate documentation and initiate improvements.
- Maintain synchronization of client data across all sub-systems.
- Sign off daily audit reports and correct anomalies.
Troubleshooting
- Resolve complex amendments (e.g., buy-outs, legal name changes).
- Liaise with Legal and product teams to ensure compliance and system alignment.
- Recommend system enhancements and process improvements.
- Stay updated on system changes to optimize usage.
Operations Support
- Attend scheduled training and team meetings.
- Ensure controls are in place as per the Risk Control Assessment (RCA).
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) with Mathematics.
- Post-grade 12 qualification in systems, engineering, or statistics (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience handling complex data amendments.
Skills & Competencies
- Sound knowledge of data, relational databases, and IT systems.
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a support team environment.
- Quick learner with a proactive mindset.
- Resilient under pressure and committed to accuracy.
Education
Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Physical, Mathematical, Computer and Life Sciences (Required)
