JOB PURPOSE
To contribute to the success of the External Identity practice, primarily by generating revenue and delivering successful, profitable projects either as project lead or as a key member of a project team; and indirectly through input to sales activities, service improvements and new service offerings.
Main Duties:
- Develop and implement solutions – typically as part of a team involving other technical people, testers and project managers (This activity will typically take up at least 80% of your time).
- Work with architect / technical lead to design and define architecture of client solutions.
- Project manage self– deliver on time and budget, manage client expectations.
- Lead projects with responsibility for project delivery including work of others on project.
Other duties:
- Assist with occasional pre-sales engagements – meetings, presentations, seminars etc.
- Provide the technical components of sales proposals.
- Knowledge sharing – responding to queries, mentoring, delivering internal workshops.
- Develop new service offerings, tools, techniques, procedures and policies.
Role requirements:
Essential
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Active Directory.
- Experience of C# including ASP.Net.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Excellent SQL Server skills and knowledge of other databases.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies including scrum.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Constantly learning the latest Microsoft and Industry technologies and standards and providing thought leadership.
- Able to train and coach junior members of the team.
- Ability to identify and prioritise training needs.
- Able to understand and respond to project requirements and deadlines.
Desirable
- Familiarity with modern authentication protocols including SAML, OAuth and OpenID Connect.
- Familiarity with Identity Providers such as B2C, Auth0 or Identity Server.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Comfortable with communicating at any level – board-level downwards. Able to pace meetings and manage agendas. Well presented.
- Able to train and coach junior members of the team.
- Ability to identify and prioritise training needs.
- Able to understand and respond to project requirements and deadlines.
THE ROLE
You’ll be working with the latest Microsoft technology stack (.Net Core, Blazor, etc.) and platforms (Azure Active Directory, App Services, B2C, B2B) delivering innovative solutions for our clients. You'll be working on discrete projects within teams of 3+ including developers, testers and project managers, typically utilizing scrum processes but adapting to the needs of our clients. Typical projects last between 3-12 months and we work in a range of industries – there is never a dull moment. The wider team (External Identity) is a supportive team of 14 and growing. We run a daily standup and share technical problems over Microsoft Teams.
