Job Description
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Provide pre-and post-programme support for all high impact SED programmes (baselines, metrics)
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of high impact SED programmes and submit monthly reports to relevant committees including livelihood, resettlement, SED. Support board and EXCO reporting on M&E
- Validate reports and account for all jobs created and supported across the Company’s full livelihoods programme
- Support the development and implementation of a Monitoring and Evaluation framework for Social Impact and Sustainability for business as usual and projects and included in the Social Impact Standard for Valterra Platinum
- Score and rank programmes to advise on their social return on investment and social progress index and other relevant social impact frameworks as adopted from time to time
- Track and assess actual performance vs. forecast against key impact metrics on relevant projects and programmes
- Facilitate timely and accurate impact and performance reporting encompassing all SED programmes in line with Social Impact and Sustainability standards and KPIs
- Support delivery of the relevant sustainability activities on a company
- Input into VP cross-functional integration on sustainability
- Contributes to building relationships with key stakeholders relevant to the discipline on a company level, ensuring engagements are consistent with company sustainability initiatives and standards
- Advise management on stakeholder engagement topics
- Identify third party mediator between stakeholders where necessary
- Coordinate across VP stakeholders to receive relevant inputs for engagements with regulatory stakeholders
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Development Economics, econometrics, applied sociology or similar field
Experience
- 7-10 years’ relevant experience
Technical Skills
- Experience conducting econometric analysis as part of rigorous impact evaluation of Socio-economic development strategies, programs and interventions
- Experience conducting econometric analysis with a focus on experimental or quasi-experimental approaches
- Experience in creating impact frameworks with Monitoring and Evaluation tools and systems
- Superior knowledge of best practices and current trends in large project portfolio management, monitoring and evaluation
