Duties:
· Follow a set of instructions for eaching sewing job
· Sew different fabrics like wool, cotton or industrial textile
· Stitch together linen, samples and other items
· Deciding on appropriate sewing techniques before work commences
· Performing alterations when required
· Operating the foot pedal, plus the stitch length and width regulators as you sew
· Clean and oil machines
· Replacing the sewing machines needles when required
· Detecting basic faults
· Report broken down machines
Experience:
- Has previously worked in a textile environment as a sewing machinist
