Hydraulic Side Tipper Mechanic Job Description
Position Overview:
The Hydraulic Side Tipper Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems and mechanical components on side tipper trucks. This role ensures the efficient operation of hydraulic systems used in tipping mechanisms, ensuring safety, reliability, and optimal performance.
This role is vital for ensuring that side tipper trucks operate smoothly and safely, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems, cylinders, pumps, and valves on side tipper trucks.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues effectively and efficiently.
- Replace worn or faulty parts, including hydraulic hoses, seals, and valves.
- Maintain detailed maintenance and repair records.
- Adhere to safety protocols and standards during all maintenance activities.
- Assist in installation and commissioning of new hydraulic systems.
- Collaborate with drivers and supervisors to schedule maintenance and repairs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a hydraulic mechanic or similar role in heavy equipment repair.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, mechanics, and truck hydraulics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Relevant certifications or technical training in hydraulic systems or heavy vehicle mechanics.
- Excellent safety awareness and adherence to safety standards.
