We are looking for a talented, passionate, and motivated individual to join our team as a Strategy & Operations Associate. Reporting to VP Strategy & Operations, you will play a critical role in enabling TRAILD to continue scaling at a rapid pace in the Strategy & Operations team
You will be the analytical and architectural powerhouse identifying key strategic opportunities, building a first-class operational machine to match our explosive growth from our first-class product
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned veteran of critical and structured thinking, equipped with strong data-driven business acumen and the ability to learn quickly in an ever-evolving environment
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Strategic Insights:
You'll be a master of data, gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing information from various sources (internal and external) to uncover key business drivers, trends, and opportunities.
You'll create and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
Operational Excellence:
You'll act as a problem-solver, identifying inefficiencies and bottlenecks in existing processes across different departments, such as sales, marketing, and product.
You'll design and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall operational effectiveness, often proposing your own frameworks fit for purpose
Project Management:
You'll lead or support high-priority, cross-functional projects from ideation to execution. This includes defining project scope, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery of outcomes.
You'll be the glue that connects different teams, ensuring that strategic initiatives are aligned with the company's overall goals and that everyone is working together seamlessly.
Strategic Planning and Decision Support:
You'll conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategic planning and identify new business opportunities or potential risks.
You'll help prepare presentations, materials and forums for executive leadership and other stakeholders to support critical business decisions.
Who You Are:
2-3+ years of experience in a highly analytical role, such as top-tier management consulting (McKinsey, Bain, BCG or comparable), investment banking, VC, business intelligence, or a similar strategy/operations role at a fast-growing company.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. You must be able to break down complex, ambiguous problems into smaller, manageable pieces and use data to drive decisions.
Proficiency in data analysis tools. Strong command of Excel is non-negotiable. Experience with SQL and business intelligence tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and presentation skills. You should be able to clearly articulate complex findings and recommendations to a wide range of audiences, from technical teams to executive leadership.
Strong project management abilities. You'll need to demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset. You'll be expected to identify problems and opportunities independently, without being told what to do. The ability to thrive in a highly unstructured and rapidly changing environment is key.
Intellectually curious. You should have a genuine desire to learn about all aspects of the business and challenge the status quo.
Comfortable with ambiguity. Scale-ups are constantly evolving, so you must be comfortable operating in an environment where things are not always clearly defined.
A bias for action. You'll be expected to not just analyse problems, but also to propose and execute solutions.
Highly collaborative with an attitude embracing growth, hands-on execution, adaptability, and the scale-up spirit.
