The role
Crown Lands is currently seeking to appoint a Supervisor Spatial Data Management to contributing to the achievement of government priorities in the management of Crown land through cross functional collaboration focused on streamlining efficiencies and supervising a team to maintain spatial datasets and deliver reliable, fit for purpose Crown land spatial information.
As the Supervisor Spatial Data Management, you will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Lead and oversee a team in the maintenance of spatial data, and the provision of reliable, fit for purpose Crown land spatial information to internal, land manager and public stakeholders.
- Collaborate with management and other teams to develop business and process improvements to resolve issues identified through quality control of inputs received to maintain spatial data and quality assurance across the Spatial Work Order process.
- Undertake spatial data analysis, tracking of land assets, remediation of anomalies and audit enquiries to support the quarterly valuation process for the Crown Estate

What you will bring to the role
- Demonstrated experience in managing and analysing spatial data and databases and the use of GIS technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex spatial data and derive meaningful insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a high-volume environment, ensuring robust processes are applied and workload across the team is effectively managed.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of emerging trends in geospatial technologies.
What is an Essential Requirement:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant experience in GIS, ICT, or information management.
