Build and maintain strong relationships with EPC project houses (e.g., DRA, FLUOR, Amec Foster Wheeler) as well as major industries such as Eskom Power Stations.
Conduct technical sales calls, client visits, demonstrations, and professional presentations to promote valve and flow control solutions.
Identify client flow-related challenges, analyze applications, and recommend long-term total cost of ownership (TCO) solutions.
Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting, technical consultation, quoting, negotiations, closing, and after-sales support.
Provide technical support, product knowledge, and application expertise to clients, ensuring correct product selection and usage.
Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, operations, repairs workshop) to ensure accurate proposals and timely delivery.
Maintain and grow sales pipeline by achieving and exceeding monthly and annual sales targets.
Ensure customer satisfaction by providing quick response times, technical backup, and after-sales service.
Prepare and submit accurate sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence updates to management.
Keep up to date with new products, valve technologies, and competitor activities in the market.
Promote the company’s full product range, including manual and control valves, actuators, positioners, safety valves, knife gate valves, tank protection equipment, and valve repairs.
Work according to company policies, procedures, and stringent work standards.
Maintain accurate client records using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM systems.
Have completed a recognised mechanical or Instrumentation apprenticeship or have extensive experience in flow related equipment / instrumentation.
Technical qualification (N6 or N Diploma - Mechanical Engineering Technician will be advantageous).
Have a min. of 5 years’ experience on manual and control valves or flow related equipment / instrumentation.
Have a min. of 5 years’ sales experience with Project PEC companies such as DRA, FLUOR, Amec Foster Wheeler and various other as well as Eskom Power Stations and many other major industries in the Gauteng, North West and Limpopo province.
Have the ability to review client flow related applications or problems and offer long term TCO related solutions.
Have very good computer experience using MS Office including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Have proven experience in handling sales calls, technical back up, demonstrations & client presentations.
Have a proven track record handling technical sales & an excellent knowledge of the sales cycle.
Be able to work according to stringent work standards.
Have excellent communication at all levels.
