Job Overview

Virtual Financial Advisor – Remote / Hybrid (South Africa-wide).

A leading South African financial institution is seeking experienced commercial short-term insurance brokers to join its national virtual advisory team.

This client-facing role involves advising, selling, and managing commercial insurance products. It is a remote position with flexibility to attend a provincial office or Johannesburg Head Office if required.

Salary: R600K – R800K CTC p.a. (No commission; performance targets only).

Employer: Leading South African Bank.

Qualifications Required: NQF Level 5, RE5 and RE1 (non-negotiable).

Key Duties:

• Advise and sell commercial short-term insurance products
• Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial clients
• Engage clients virtually and in person as needed
• Convert bank-generated leads and actively source new business
• Meet monthly GWP targets (R25K–R40K)
• Ensure compliance with FAIS and FICA regulations

Requirements:

• South African citizen
• NQF Level 5 qualification (mandatory)
• RE5 and RE1 certifications
• Minimum 3 years recent commercial short-term broking experience (since 2020)
• Commercial focus required (minimal personal lines acceptable)
• Prefer candidates from brokerages
• Broker consultants accepted if willing to advise clients directly
• Must be under 63 years of age
