About the Role:
Are you a skilled and detail-oriented professional with a passion for logistics? We are looking for a dedicated Warehouse & Forklift Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be a vital part of our operations, ensuring the seamless flow of goods through our warehouse. You will also be responsible for overseeing other team members, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving & Dispatching: Efficiently receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and prepare outgoing orders for dispatch.
- Inventory Management: Accurately store, track, and manage inventory. Perform regular cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders with precision and speed to meet delivery deadlines.
- Forklift & Equipment Operation: Safely and skillfully operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment to move, stack, and organize materials.
- Team Supervision: Oversee and guide other team members to ensure daily tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and company standards.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: Matric certificate or equivalent.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in a warehouse or operations role, with a proven track record of safe forklift operation.
- Skills:
- Essential: A valid and current forklift license is required.
- Technical: Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic computer skills.
- Personal: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical: Capable of lifting and moving heavy items and comfortable with the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
