- -Follow verbal or simple written work instructions
- Ensure proper understanding of the required actions
- Apply recognized work and safety standards
- Operation of all farming equipment and machinery required for role
- Monitor that farming equipment is in good running order.
- Complete tasks specific to role to required standard
- Follow instructions from Farm Supervisor and report back when tasks are completed
- Report abnormal activities or problems to Farm Supervisor
- Assist during breakdowns or emergencies
- Support the Farm Supervisor in identifying material requirements
- Participate in required meetings
- Identify opportunities to improve the farming activities
- Support efforts to overcome operational problems
- Effective two way communications with team members
- Ensure that all required tools and material are available to complete tasks
- Maintenance of farm fences
- Maintenance of farm/lodge infrastructure, ie structures, buildings, dams and grounds
- Implementation of burning program
- Implementation of fisheries management program
- Implementation of bush encroachment program
Qualifications
-Qualifications: Grade 8
Experience: 6 Months
Knowledge and Skills :
- Semi-skilled for the working on a farm.
- Ability to communicate in organizations chosen language.
