We're Hiring: Communications Liaison (Guest Experience & Operations Support)
Cape Town | Full-Time | Shift-Based (07:00 – 23:00)
Are you a strong communicator with a passion for hospitality, problem-solving, and smooth operations? We're looking for a Communications Liaison to join our dynamic team in managing short-term rental properties across Cape Town.
About the Role:
As the Communications Liaison, you'll be the central hub of guest communication, ensuring inquiries and requests are handled promptly, issues are escalated effectively, and operations run seamlessly. You’ll play a vital role in delivering top-tier guest experiences while supporting internal coordination across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to guest messages and calls within 1 hour during your shift.
- Vet guests before confirming bookings (especially those with no or poor reviews).
- Send check-in instructions, confirm guest details with building management, and ensure smooth arrivals.
- Coordinate guest issues with the Operations team and follow up to ensure resolution.
- Monitor electricity usage and assist guests with top-ups.
- Liaise on reservation changes, reviews, and occupancy gaps.
- Manage long stays and owner stays (cleaning schedules, Trello tracking, etc.).
- Track cleans, gifts, and other guest-related expenses for monthly reports.
- Maintain lockbox security protocols and listing accuracy.
- Assist in camper cot/high chair rentals and ensure updates are logged.
What We’re Looking For:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong sense of accountability and attention to detail.
- Proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
- Comfortable with tech tools (Trello, Google Drive, Hostfully, Airbnb platform).
- Experience in hospitality, guest services, or property management is a plus.
- Ability to work shifts between 07:00 and 23:00, with emergency phone availability.
Shift Times:
Shift 1: 07:00 – 16:00
Shift 2: 16:00 – 23:00
Shifts are rotational.
