As an Area Coach at TradeOn, you are at the pulse of these restaurants,

ensuring every shift runs smoothly, every team member feels valued, and

every guest walks out satisfied. You’ll be leading with heart while keeping a

strategic mind on operations, growth, and culture—building more than just

revenue, but a high-performing, people-first organisation.

Role Overview:

The Area Coach plays a critical leadership role in the success of our KFC

restaurants within their area/region. You’ll lead multiple Restaurant General

Managers (RGMs), providing strategic coaching and on-the-ground guidance

to ensure operational excellence, team engagement, and performance

improvement across all levels.

Your leadership will ensure sales growth, cost control, customer experience,

and, most importantly, that the well-being and development of every team

member in your area is prioritised. You’ll collaborate with Area Coaches,

Regional Coaches, The HR Business Partner Team and cross-functional

teams to drive our ORIGINALS culture, cultivating confidence and unique

talents across your teams.

Key Responsibilities:

People Leadership & Development

- Lead with empathy and impact: Inspire a diverse team of RGMs and

their restaurant teams to deliver performance excellence while being

their most authentic selves.

- Coach and mentor restaurant leaders on creating an engaging,

inclusive, and high-performance culture that aligns with the TradeON

vision.

- Succession planning: Identify and cultivate future leaders in your area

through development programs and coaching initiatives.

- Ensure team well-being by monitoring schedules, celebrating

achievements, and providing support during challenging operational

times.

Operational Excellence

- Oversee restaurant operations across your designated area to ensure

every guest receives a top-tier KFC experience.

- Execute and coach on strategic operational plans that reflect both

restaurant-level needs and broader strategic business goals.

- Optimize financial performance through proactive management of food,

labour, and overhead costs, ensuring profitability.

- Ensure your teams adhere to health, safety, and food quality standards

to create a safe and memorable experience for every customer.

Strategic Execution

- Drive initiatives related to the broader KFC brand strategy and embed

them for local success within your region.

- Collaborate with the People Capability Leaders (PCLs), Training

Facilitator Team and Area Coaches to deliver impactful training and

cultural transformation within teams.

- Spearhead innovation at the restaurant level, identifying opportunities

for improvement and implementing operational changes that boost

productivity and guest satisfaction.

Employee Engagement & Originals Program

- Bring to life the ORIGINALS employee brand by fostering an

environment where team members feel valued, respected, and

motivated.

- Be an ambassador of TradeOn within your area, upholding and

instilling our core values;_ trust, integrity, caring and _

accountability, into everyday operations.

- Champion programs that improve team member satisfaction and

retention, engaging staff in people-first initiatives such as recognition

events, coaching sessions, and well-being initiatives that drive the

employee experience.

Key Metrics for Success:

- Sales growth and profitability across all locations in your area.

- Employee satisfaction scores and improved engagement within your

teams.

- Operational KPIs, including cost management, service times, and

guest satisfaction.

- Development and retention of high-potential talent in your region.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

across multiple locations.

excel at turning challenges into opportunities. You’re not afraid to

rethink approaches and continuously improve operations.

- Strong Communicator: You can clearly and persuasively

communicate expectations and ideas across various levels of the

organization, from team members to senior leadership.

- Collaborative Team Player: You work well with cross-functional teams

and external partners to deliver integrated solutions and improvements

that drive business success.

Minimum Requirements:

- 5+ years of multi-unit management experience in the quick-service

restaurant (QSR) industry or related fields (e.g., retail, FMCG).

- Proven track record of achieving operational KPIs and team

development goals.

- Experience in leading large teams, preferably across multiple locations,

with a strong understanding of the complexity that comes with it.

- Ability to travel frequently to restaurants within your designated area.

- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and succession planning to foster

growth and leadership within your teams.
