This is a permanent job in Cape Town, the working model is hybrid, and there will be come travel to Johannesburg.
Responsibilities include:
- Championing Process Improvement: Lead the charge in identifying, analyzing, and implementing critical process improvements across the organisation.
- Driving Methodological Excellence: Apply advanced Lean Six Sigma and process simulation methodologies to achieve superior results.
- Strategic Project Contribution: Play a key role in planning and executing projects, balancing business demands with strategic priorities.
- Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with Process Owners and Team Leaders to optimise resource allocation for projects and training.
- Fostering a Culture of Growth: Contribute significantly to driving a continuous improvement and growth mindset throughout the company.
- Ensuring Tangible Benefits: Design and analyse process performance indicators to verify the successful realisation of benefits.
- Shaping Expertise: Own and contribute to our Lean Six Sigma and Process Excellence training curriculum, including Green Belt training.
- Mentoring & Coaching: Provide expert coaching and support to Lean Six Sigma Green Belts and Black Belts, ensuring their success and development.
- Building Strong Relationships: Collaborate effectively with our Business Process Optimisation Team and Process Owners.
- Enhancing Team Capabilities: Facilitate knowledge transfer to boost team performance, capacity, and capability.
- Maintaining Integrity: Ensure the integrity of work done by the team, Green Belts, and Process Owners, and sign off on Green Belt certification efforts.
- Ensuring Robust Governance: Drive effective Process Governance across the entire organisation.
Minimum requirements include:
- A Degree (an Engineering degree is a plus).
- 8+ years of experience in Process Optimisation with a strong background in Lean Six Sigma, including experience with statistical software.
- Master Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma is essential.
- Proven experience in Process Simulation and/or Process Mining, along with related technical expertise (VBA, PowerBI, Power Apps, CoPilot).
- Demonstrable experience in leading projects and large-scale change initiatives.
- Experience within the financial services environment would be an advantage.
