Main purpose of the position

Currently we are looking for a Cleaner in Ceres, South Africa to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Cleaner you will be responsible to provide efficient cleaning and auxiliary services within the Scatec O&M Building and to ensure a well-maintained work environment for employees and visitors alike in Grootfontein, Ceres in the Western Cape.

Main Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean working environment for O&M office employees by thoroughly cleaning designated offices areas
• Reports damages to equipment and building to Facilities Controller for purposes and maintenance
• Assist to carry kitchen consumables as and when required
• Packs the groceries and reports shortages in advance for the purpose of procurement
• Prepares refreshments for meetings and visitors at stipulated times
• Ensures availability of supplies to enable the preparations of hot beverages for employees during the day
• Reports damages / loss of kitchen equipment, crockery, and utensils to the Facilities Controller as well as leaking taps and toilets to prevent water wastage
• Thoroughly cleans toilets, wash basins and showers utilizing cleaning material each morning and tidies up restrooms throughout the day
• Makes available sufficient supplies in the restrooms by constantly checking and refilling dispensers and ensure that all soap and toilet paper dispensers are in working order

• Contribute to a safe and healthy working environment by:
• Promptly reporting unsafe working conditions
• Reporting all incidents, accidents, and hazards
• Avoiding unsafe work practices at work
• Shall adhere to Waste management and Recycling procedure requirements

 Qualifications And Competencies

• Grade 10 or equivalent NQF qualification
• Basic Literacy is advantageous
• Ability to plan own work schedule and manual handiness
• Good communication and Listening skills
• 2 years proven experience as a Cleaner in an office environment

• Reliable and consistent attendance and available to work any shift, overtime or public holiday as requested
