The Collections Manager at MAN Financial Services (South Africa) (RF) (PTY) LTD is responsible for overseeing the collections operations to ensure timely recovery of outstanding debts while maintaining positive customer relationships. This role involves developing and implementing an effective collection strategy and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
Duties:
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute collection strategies to minimize bad debt and improve cash flow.
- Monitor and analyse collection metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with finance and risk teams to align collection efforts with overall business goals.
Operations Management
- Oversee daily collection activities, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Manage escalated accounts and negotiate payment arrangements with clients.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of collection activities.
Compliance & Risk
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal controls.
- Handle sensitive customer information with confidentiality and integrity.
- Liaise with legal teams on complex or disputed cases.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare regular reports on collection performance, aging analysis, and recovery rates.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Use data analytics to improve collection efficiency and customer segmentation.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience:

- Knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., National Credit Act, POPIA).
