Job Description
As we expand and grow our ER&I Offering we are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager to support the Business Unit Leadership in the delivery of services to clients on delegated engagements/projects, by developing high-performing people and teams.
Roles and responsibilities:
Client Delivery for ER&I
- Analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities and risks in the ER&I sector, and developing long-term strategic plans to capitalize on them.
- Identifying potential new business ventures within the ER&I space, including partnerships and acquisitions, to expand market reach and revenue streams.
- Leading the identification and evaluation of emerging technologies and innovative solutions relevant to the ER&I industry, including energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, and digital transformation.
- Developing and implementing strategies to align the company's operations with sustainability goals, such as carbon reduction targets and circular economy practices.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key clients in the ER&I sector, understanding their needs, and tailoring solutions to meet their specific requirements.
- Supports the Senior Manager on delivery of designated engagement / project, managing the implementation of the agreed deliverables
- Tracks outputs against Service Level Agreement and reports to Senior Manager on any unforeseen issues arising
- Is a support resource in planning of sales presentations and client negotiation teams for new and retained business
Engagement Leadership
- Manages day-to-day deliverables of team on client engagements / projects
- Proactively identifies client service and technical issues and implements resolutions to address these
- Meets regularly with client and client teams to understand issues, anticipate needs and address these
- Communicates need for any changes in engagement / project plan to Senior Manager for discussion with Engagement sponsor / client
- Provides ongoing communication to teams on status of engagement / project, changes, achievements, etc.
- Builds network of relationships across Deloitte to understand other service line offerings and to market own functional area
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with external clients across industries
- Participates in thought leadership process and shares functional and industry knowledge and expertise with clients, colleagues and teams
- Keeps Senior Manager updated on status of engagement
- Develops productive working relationships with client teams
Go to Market, Revenue Management & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build deep professional relationships across a diverse network and use a flexible influencing style to gain buy-in and drive impact.
- Develop cross-sector go-to-market strategy in close alignment with the relevant Offering Portfolios
- With regional business and marketing directions in mind, the role will define our business plans to tap into the growth potential in the region with alignment to the go-to-market plan.
- Work with various functional teams, corporate marketing, country sales to plan a wide range of programs - successfully driving the execution of those programs in the country.
- Communicate plans across cross-functional teams, execute and monitor success.
- Provide counsel and insight to the team and see through the development of design strategies to implementation.
- Understand and identify key market opportunities – delivering coordinated marketing programs to get results with good customer experience.
- Manage sales to fulfil vertical revenue with a focus on pipeline development, management, and closure to meet targets
Qualifications
- Bachelor's qualification in Engineering, Mining, Sustainability or related disclipline
- MBA or Masters in the relevant field of study is a definite advantage
Experience Required
- Deep understanding of the ER&I market, including regulatory landscape, key players, and technological trends
- 10 - 12 years of working experience with a leading consulting firm or established company with a focus on heavy industry such as manufacturing, power, oil and energy, mining, renewables, petrochemicals and infrastructure
- 7 - 10 years working experience including 5 years in a client facing as well as 3 years in a management role with a focus on ER&I strategies
Relevant Strategic Advisory Competencies
- Experience leading and managing multidisciplinary project teams to deliver tailored strategic solutions across or in chosen industry verticals
- Deep customer domain experience across Energy, Resources, and Industrials (ER&I) sectors—including Industrial Products, Construction, Power, Utilities, Renewables, Energy, Chemicals, Mining, and Metals
