MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum of Matric needed
· 3 years of retail management experience required
· Excellent organizational, time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills
· Ability to Attend to detail and perform task neatly, efficiently, effectively
· Have the ability to learn quickly
· Basic math skills sufficient to manage cash registers and day& month end process
· Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, and carry products in order to perform and cover all work floor duties
· Able to give clear directions and set expectations for staff
· Demonstrated ability to lead by example
· Own reliable transport and Driver’s licence
· Working in plastics and homeware retail industry would be advantageous.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Drive customer service excellence to every aspect of the store, including store appearance, display of merchandise, product placement, story layout, and selling procedures
· Ensure strategic goals and sales targets of the store are met by maximizing sales and gross profit, reviewing sales performance.
· Train, develop, motivate and supervise staff ensuring a positive work atmosphere.
· Coordinate effective daily staffing to ensure floor cover
· Ensure the store complies with outlined policies and procedures
· Perform administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of all store operations, including monitoring sales receipts and cash
· Ensure effective till points management and cash administration according to company policy and procedure.
· Being hands on with daily tasks and operational needs.
· Display good time management and effectively prioritize
· Dealing with queries, complaints and feedback.
· Excellent communication skills with staff and senior managers.
· Providing reports and feedback to senior managers.
· Serve as a resource for general product knowledge to all customers and staff members.
· Ensure the smooth running of the store when the Branch Manager is not present.
· Perform other duties as required.
