Our large well-known store in Durban is looking for a dynamic and skilled Front-end Manager to join their team.
Purpose: As a Front-end Manager, you are responsible for the complete supervision of staff in the front-end department. Ensure that staff provide excellent customer service as well as resolves complaints and issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures that staff are up to date with time and attendance.
- Provides input on recruitment of new staff and conducts on-the-job training and coaching to the team.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Hosts daily meetings to motivate and drive high morale amongst staff to create an effective and efficient staff force who ensures and engages in positive customer experiences.
- Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
- Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
- Complete management of the pension monies; balancing, reconciling and settling.
- Capturing and verification of documentation; declaration, petty cash, Tops declaration and balances Lotto.
- Processing payments of fresh produce suppliers; ensure payments are actioned timeously and accurate payments are made to relevance suppliers, balances monies and conducts reconciliation.
- Placing orders of specified products for the store and liaising with the relevant suppliers to attain best prices.
Competencies
- Proficient in MS Office Applications.
- Experience in a retail environment will be advantageous
- A people’s person’s personality as the role is customer facing
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Front-end Manager
