Purpose of the Job
The Global Sourcing Administrator's primary responsibility is to identify global trends and source potential new articles from international suppliers that suit the needs of the Group and its customers. This includes ensuring that imported orders obtain necessary approvals and arrive timeously. The role involves extensive liaison with internal and external stakeholders and includes ad-hoc administrative tasks to support sourcing operations.

Job Objectives
Sourcing and Procurement Operations:
- Monitor stock health of imported articles.
- Evaluate and justify suggested import orders received from Replenishment.
- Obtain Buyer approval for orders and Pro Forma Invoices.
- Liaise with Suppliers, Replenishment, and ITD to confirm and track orders.
- Influence expected delivery dates and ensure timely arrival of goods.
New Article Identification and Listing:
- Identify global trends and source potential new articles.
- Collate relevant information for article listing decisions.
- Administer forums and processes for article listing.
- Ensure legally acceptable labeling designs are obtained and approved.
Compliance and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries to obtain import approvals.
- Maintain routine communication with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Execute general ad-hoc requests within reason.
Administrative and Operational Support:
- Perform administrative tasks including documentation, scheduling, and correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with organisational procedures and legal obligations.
- Support operational execution through accurate and timely processing of sourcing activities
Qualifications
- Matric or Grade 12 certification (essential).
- Diploma / NQF Level 6 in Management Sciences, Retail Business Management, or Business Management (preferred).
Experience
- +1 year of experience in an administrator role or related field (essential).
- Experience in a retail environment (preferred).
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, buying and supply chain processes, and strategic sourcing (preferred).
