HR Officer / Administrator
Are you an experienced HR generalist ready to make a significant impact in a dynamic, people-focused environment? We're seeking a dedicated HR Officer / Administrator to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting our staff and management across the business.
In this role, reporting to Depot Manager, you'll provide comprehensive HR services, from recruitment and onboarding to payroll coordination, industrial relations, and employee wellness. You'll ensure our HR processes are smooth, compliant, and aligned with company values and legislative requirements.
What You'll Do:
- HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records (digital and physical), manage time administration, and keep our HR database and organogram updated.
- Payroll Support: Administer changes impacting salaries and benefits, payroll administation and responsibilities.
- Industrial Relations: Support grievance and disciplinary processes, providing essential guidance to managers on matters.
- Employee Support & Benefits: Handle HR queries, offer policy-aligned advice, and process claims for medical aid, provident fund, and retirement benefits. Coordinate wellness and financial education sessions.
- HR Projects & Innovation: Contribute to continuous HR process improvements and support training coordination.
- Compliance & Reporting: Prepare HR reports (e.g., absenteeism, turnover), support audits, and manage Employment Equity meetings and submissions.
- Offboarding: Manage the termination process and conduct insightful exit interviews.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management (or actively studying towards one).
- Experience: 3-5 years of HR generalist experience. Ideally within the food Industry

- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Excel (formulas, data navigation, troubleshooting) is a must. Experience with Payroll Softrware is a significant advantage.
