IR Officer

Company is urgently looking for an IR Officer responsible for the full management of employee relations, dispute resolution, discipline management, termination, recruitment, and compliance with labour laws and company policies in an IR environment.

✅ Recruitment and selection: Manage the entire recruitment process.

✅ Payroll support: Work closely with the payroll personnel to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions.

✅ Ensure compliance by all staff with the disciplinary procedures and disciplinary code.

✅ Resolve and advise management on grievance processes.

✅ Develop a sound relationship with trade unions.

✅ Provide expert IR advice and guidance to managers and staff on IR matters.

✅ Represent the company in CCMA cases.

✅ Provide support on all employee relations ad hoc issues.

✅ Attend regular meetings with employee representatives and ensure that all labour issues are attended to effectively and efficiently.

✅ Build a relationship with all employees and assist with all day-to-day issues.

✅ Attend to all pay queries and liaise with the payroll personnel to resolve them.

✅ Assist management with compliance of all labour legislation. Keep abreast of all developments and advice management accordingly.

✅ Attend all work stoppages and strikes in compliance with the Labour Relations Act.

✅ Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management.

✅ Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in relevant HR position with employee and industrial relations.

✅ CCMA representation experience.

✅ Experience in working in a unionized environment.

✅ Plant Hire experience would be advantageous.

✅ Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills.

✅ Attention to detail.
