Sanlam Group Technology is responsible for the provision of a digitally enabled technology service as a group COE, drive business and transformation and provide group-wide digital and data architecture. We operate the various technology platforms and shared services, ensure Cyber and Information Security resilience, and act as technology governance and risk orchestrator for technology across Sanlam.
What will you do?
As a Specialist: IT Governance and Compliance, you will support the implementation and maintenance of IT Governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. You will work closely with business units and clusters to embed governance principles, monitor compliance, and contribute to the continuous improvement of governance maturity. This role emphasizes hands-on execution, technical expertise, and collaboration across teams to ensure that IT assets are managed effectively and securely.

- Assist in the implementation of frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with governance requirements.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and their implications for governance and compliance.
Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Certifications such as COBIT, ITIL, CISA, CISM, CRISC, are advantageous.
Experience
- 4–6 years in IT Governance, Compliance, or Risk roles.
- Experience in applying governance frameworks in operational environments.
- Familiarity with privacy laws and cybersecurity standards.
- Exposure to regulated industries such as insurance, finance or healthcare
