Ladieswear Department – Ladieswear Buyer (Ladieswear Junior Division)
We are recruiting for an experienced Ladieswear Junior Buyer who is up to date on the latest fashion trends, and who has the ability to analyse sales data (with merchandise planners) and negotiate deals with suppliers. You will be required to have a thorough understanding of the required target market and customer preferences and be able to make well-informed decisions about which products to buy. You will be required to work closely with merchandise planners, garment technicians and marketing teams to ensure that the products align with the company's brand and meets customer demands and expectations.
Some of your key duty objectives will include:
- Developing business units strategic, tactical, and operational plans to achieve set targets.
- Influencing and implementing the merchandise strategy.
- Management of the range assortments and replenishment.
- Management of financial metrics and sales trends, developing promotional and range distribution by store.
- Communication and relationship management of key stakeholders such as, suppliers, buyer, operations, etc.
- Reporting on performance, initiatives, and action plans to senior management periodically (weekly, monthly, seasonally, and annually).
Education and Experience:
- A certificate, diploma, or degree in merchandise apparel related studies.
- At least 3 years of proven working experience as a Buyer in fashion apparel.
- Preferred experience in Ladies Fashion Apparel
- Computer literacy in Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
