- Teaching a range of undergraduate Mathematics modules offered as part of programmes in the Faculty of Science, as well as service modules in other faculties.
- Engaging with academic renewal of the curriculum, assessment and student support initiatives in undergraduate Mathematics.
- Responsible for a significantly larger than normal undergraduate teaching and marking load.
- Teaching and coordinating undergraduate Mathematics modules with large enrolments.
- Fulfilling administration duties in the Mathematics Division.

- A PhD, completed or submitted or within six (6) months of completion, in Mathematics or a closely related field, at the time of application. For appointment at Lecturer level, a completed PhD is
Experience of teaching undergraduate Mathematics modules.- Evidence of effectiveness of academic teaching and of excellence in teaching to large classes.
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Afrikaans.
- A research interest in Mathematics and/or the scholarship of undergraduate teaching, learning and assessment in Mathematics.
- A commitment to pursuing innovative teaching and assessment strategies that enhance student engagement and success.
'n PhD, voltooi of ingedien of binne ses (6) maande van voltooiing, in Wiskunde of 'n naverwante rigting, ten tyde van aansoek. Vir aanstelling op Lektorvlak word 'n voltooide PhD vereis.- Onderrigervaring in voorgraadse Wiskunde-modules.
- Bewys van doeltreffende akademiese onderrig en van uitnemendheid in die onderrig van groot klasse.
- Uitstekende mondelinge en skriftelike vaardighede in Engels en Afrikaans.
- 'n Belangstelling in Wiskunde en/of die akademieskap van voorgraadse onderrig, leer en assessering in Wiskunde.
- 'n Verbintenis om innoverende onderrig en assesseringstrategieë na te streef wat studentebetrokkenheid en -sukses verbeter.
