Role Purpose
Responsible for the effective management of all activities in the Distribution Centre Warehouse, relating to ensuring that products are received, stored accurately and that Customer Deliveries are executed in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
1. Standards and Governance
• Ensure Compliance: Adhere to internal control measures (e.g., ISO, ICC, audits) and legal requirements, including quality and risk standards.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Maintain systems, procedures, and asset management while identifying and implementing process improvements.
2. Customer Service
• Deliver High-Quality Service: Ensure on-time, in-full delivery aligned with agreed service levels and customer expectations.
• Customer Engagement & Resolution: Analyze service performance, handle complaints, and adjust strategies to improve customer satisfaction.
3. Operations Management
• Optimize Operational Efficiency: Manage transport, outsourcing, and inventory processes to meet cost and resource targets.
• Financial Oversight: Monitor budgets, forecasts, and operational costs (R/HL), taking corrective actions where needed.
4. Leadership
• Foster Team Integration: Promote cross-functional collaboration and learning.
• Performance Management: Hold regular team meetings to track and align on performance goals.
5. Risk and Safety
• Ensure Compliance and Fleet Safety: Conduct inspections and audits to meet road safety and fleet standards.
• Uphold Workplace Safety: Maintain site safety and housekeeping standards as part of regulatory compliance.
KPIs
1. Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) Qualification.
2. A relevant certificate/ Diploma in Logistics, Distribution or Supply Chain or similar field will be an advantage
3. Up To 3 Years minimum total years of relevant experience.
4. Proficient in MS Office,
5. SAP, Strato, Qlikview, Tableau, PowerBI, Success Factors experience beneficial.
6. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
7. The ability to manage teams
