We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on professional to join our Broader Africa Centre team. This position demands a collaborative approach, as it involves working closely with marketing teams across African geographies, various marketing centers of excellence, third-party agencies, and business units within FNB Commercial and Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) portfolios. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy Development:
    • Assist in the creation and refinement of strategic planning templates.
    • Collaborate with local teams to design tailored marketing and communication strategies, plans, and budgets for their respective markets.
  • Strategic Alignment:
    • Ensure effective communication and implementation of Group and Broader Africa marketing and communication strategic pillars.
    • Adapt these strategies to align with local business goals and objectives.
  • Campaign Management:
    • Collaborate on the development and execution of marketing campaigns that enhance both efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Focus on building brand equity by promoting brand loyalty and value across various regions.
  • Campaign Guidance:
    • Provide expert guidance on campaign development.
    • Co-create adaptable campaigns across multiple regions to minimise lead times and development costs.
  • Toolkit Development:
    • Develop and deploy comprehensive toolkits to facilitate local market adaptation and rollout.
  • Advertising Frameworks:
    • Create adaptable advertising and messaging frameworks for local markets, aiming to shorten launch times and improve the bank's competitiveness.
Qualifications and experience
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 8+ years of experience in Marketing, Advertising and Media (incl. digital), ideally within the financial services sector.
    • Experience in managing Integrated Marketing and Communications initiatives
    • Experience working with advertising agencies and coordinating cross-functional marketing projects.
    • Experience in and knowledge of Public Relations, Brand Management and Business Communications concepts and practices
    • Managing brands and campaigns across geographies
    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
    • Comprehensive knowledge and proven experience in marketing and communications.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing team-oriented environment.
