Job description
Our client, situated in Devland, Soweto, in the manufacturing industry is seeking an Order and Invoice Clerk to ensure service objectives are met for the business and assigned customer base in terms of order entry, processing, and invoicing.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Accurate order entry and processing.
- Maintenance of Customer Information base.
- Price Management and Query.
- Monitor of Service level achievement/ Order fill.
- Deal loading maintenance.
- Development of relationships with Direct and DC Customer contacts
- Accountable for accurate order entry in terms of Pricing, Quantity and Customer detail.
- Develop relationships with Customer replenishment staff.
- Implement corrective action where pricing / service queries are concerned.
- Refer product / Customer queries to appropriate department.
- Liaison and feedback on order processing with warehouse team.
Skills assumed to be in place:
- Matric
- 2-4 years well rounded experience in the manufacturing or wholesale industries in a similar position (administration/clerical role)
- Ability to work with employees at various levels within the organisation
- Excellent communication and listening
- Ability to be flexible in work approach
- Excel proficient (intermediate level)
- Customer Service skills including telephonic manner
- Work flow and problem solving skills.
- Order processing knowledge.
- Administration skills in terms of record keeping and order maintenance
- Numeric ability
- Strong IT System experience specific to order processing
- Telephonic interaction skills
- Previous Computer/Operating system skills
- Demonstrates ability to work under pressure, learn and adapt quickly.
This position is situated in Devland, Soweto and requires a 5-day onsite presence. It does not cater for flexi-hours or work from home, unless there is a specific requirement as managed by the business.
