Purpose
To provide expert advice and sell products to walk-in and telephonic customers. The Salesman ensures product knowledge, customer satisfaction, and sales performance while supporting other departments through cross-functional tasks.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -
- Providing courteous and professional assistance to all clients.
- Generating accurate quotations and processing sales efficiently.
- Driving sales growth.
- Making use of the various platforms to assist customers.
- Assisting with ad hoc tasks as and when required.
- Ensuring quick turnaround times to workshop teams.
- Adhering to company processes and procedures.
- Weekend work.
The suitable applicant has the following experience and attributes: -
- 2+ years’ experience within the Motor Industry Parts sales (Genuine and Aftermarket) advantageous.
- Good knowledge of vehicle makes and parts (mechanical or technical background preferred).
- Strong customer service orientation and professional communication skills.
- Computer literate (POS, stock system, Microsoft Outlook/Excel).
- Sober habits.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
- Remains calm and efficient under pressure.
- Team player with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
