Job description
We are recruiting a Payroll Administrator, who will be based in Centurion.
The ideal candidate must have extensive Sage 300 People Payroll experience, but will be also be required to assist with HR functions.
Requirements
- 3-5years experience in payroll
- Must have worked on Sage300
- Ideally residing in Centurion
- AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for preparation and processing of the monthly payroll on VIP SAGE 300 People payroll system (this includes the entire cycle of payroll processing from capturing of new employees, leave, terminations, claims, etc.)
- Review and ensure accuracy of approved overtime claims
- Maintain a proper document control system
- Backup procedures on VIP Payroll programme
- Install regular upgrades received from SAGE
- HR related functions:
- Update and maintaining personnel files
- Organizational obligations:
- Ensure monthly correct Provident Fund Contributions
- Union subscription
- Audit Obligations:
- Correct payments of salaries
- Correct payments to third parties
- Reconciliation to the SA Revenue Service
- SARS Obligations:
- Correct deductions of Income Tax
- Allowances and benefits
- Expenses
- IRP5 and IT3 submissions and reports
- PAYE, UIF and SDL payments
- Monthly UIF Submissions
- EMP201 submissions on SARS e-filing
- Maintain SARS Easy File programme
- Customer Service Obligations:
- Correct and timeous payment of remuneration
- Responding to employees’ queries timeously
- Confidentiality and security of personal information
- Confirmation of employment
- UIF19 form administration
- Administer 3rd party payments and balances owing
- Obligations to Employer:
- Ensure prompt and accurate payment of salaries
- Ensure personal documents of all employees are correctly filed (electronically and hardcopy) within 10 days of receipt
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures relevant to salaries and procurement
- Ensure that the salary administration takes place in such a manner that a healthy and trustworthy relationship will exist between the Company and its employees
- Monthly reporting to managers, or as needed
- Assist with all social functions
- Obligations to Operational Department:
- Monthly receiving of Manpower reports and all applicable admin
- Timeous distribution of payslips.
- Timeously informing management and employees of applicable payroll information
